Schlossplatz - the castle square and its baroque ensemble

Right from the first glance, the baroque ensemble at Schlossplatz is an impressive sight. The square and its surrounding structures were built in the middle of the 18th century based on designs by the famous architect Friedrich Joachim Stengel. The castle dominates the entire South-Eastern side of the square.
